ASTICAN is a privately owned shiprepair yard with a staff of about 200 plus subcontractors, and whose main activity is the repair, maintenance and conversion of all kinds of vessel. The yard which was founded in 1973, became fully operative in 1976 and was privatised in 1989.

ASTICAN´s modern installations, particularly its lifting platform drydocking system, skilled workforce, respond to the quality and service that shipowners demand according to the strictest international standards.

Quality has been certified by Lloyd´s Register Quality Assurance as per ISO 9002 since 1994, and the company has also been awarded with the NATO AQAP 120 Quality Certificate.

Spanish Pelagic, one of the biggest and most modern coldstore in Spain is located at Puerto de La Luz y Las Palmas just on the quay side with 1.100 m of berth.

The coldstore has a surface of 12.000 m2 ,80.000 m3 and 20.000 Tm of capacity. Eight coldstore chambers at -25º C, 2 precooled corridors, 12 sectional entry doors and 9 container-docks.

Apart from being a Custom Deposit, their services are focused on the reception, store, departure of merchandise on a ship,truck or container and other services like weighing, labelling, clasiffication, loading on pallets, repacking of cartons, wrapping and strechting with our own inspection room.

The aim of Spanish Pelagic is to guarantee the cold chain from the ship to the coldstore rooms in order to optimize the loading/unloading operations, handling and store of cargo. It is a facility created to satisfy all the needs of each customer ,taking special care of the product and the process, with the best quality standards.

 
 
Owing to its geographical condition, the Canary Islands are mainly an importer region, which makes necessary special logistics and transport services.That is the reason why our company has put a lot of effort to complete a wide offer to our customers day by day.

LPC has the adequate infrastructure to receive and handle any kind of merchandise not only maritime but also by air. In our 6000 m2 warehouses as custom/temporary deposit stores, we desconsolidate, store and distribute our customers´ merchandise.Our warehouses are computerized and directly connected to the Customs and the Government of the Canary Islands for the direct despatch of the merchandise.

The airfreight is controlled by a team specialized on Customs formalities at the three more important airports of the Canaries . All these means are supervised by a staff with great experience on this sector.
